Signs the door needs a repair
A door that binds or jerks as it moves usually has a track that has shifted out of alignment or rollers that have worn down. A door that won't stay open, or drifts back down on its own, points us to the cables and the extension springs. If the door leaves the track, or you hear grinding or squeaking as it travels, the track or the rollers are the first place we look.
What we do for each problem
When the door binds or comes off the track, we realign the track, or replace the section if it's damaged. Worn rollers get replaced, and we watch them move through the track afterward to confirm they run freely. Damaged cables are replaced too. On every one of these jobs we run the door through its full travel before we leave, so it moves smoothly.
If one panel of a sectional door is dented or cracked, we can replace just that panel instead of the whole door.

What these repairs cost
Garage door opener repair typically runs $100 to $200. Replacing a sectional door panel typically runs $300 to $900. We can give you a typical range on the phone, and we confirm the exact number once we've seen the door and know which parts are actually worn.
